Features
For creators, marketing teams and trainers who have usable footage but no editable text layer. Clear the old words, then add your next message in an editor.
A video text remover takes words out of a clip and rebuilds the picture behind them. Mark where the text sits and when it is on screen. Small boxes and short time ranges leave more of the clip untouched.

An exported demo may still be useful after its labels or subtitles go out of date. Clear those words before adding updated instructions or another language in your editor. Work with clips up to 60 seconds and 50 MiB.
Clear an outdated label from a short screen recording before you add the revised instruction.
Remove burned-in dialogue before a localization editor adds new subtitles. Translation and new captions are done separately.
Clear an old date or session label from a clip you want to include in the next training update.

Keep a useful shot when an old offer, date or hook is the part that needs changing. Work from your own exported file when the project is unavailable; if you still have editable text layers, update those first.
Clear a burned-in opening line before adding a new hook to your own clip. Check every caption change; the box does not track moving words.
Remove last season's price or promotion date from your product Reel, then add the current offer in your editor.
When a client supplies only an export you may edit, clear its old title before the next cut. Editable layers and removable outros are best changed in CapCut.

How to use it
It takes three steps: choose a clip, mark the text, then check the result and download it.
Choose a clip for free, with no login needed. It plays on your device while you mark it; processing is a separate step.
Drag a box over the words and resize it from the corners. Add up to three boxes, then drag each one's bar on the timeline to set when it applies.
Review the credit estimate before submitting. After processing, check the full result and download the version you want to keep.
Quality guide
Results depend on text size, background detail and motion. Play the whole clip before you use it.
A good place to start.
Plan to check these more closely.
Look closely at these spots.
Text size, outlines and the background change how closely to inspect a repair. These examples are a rule of thumb, not a promise.

AI-edited still-image comparisons. Test a video separately to check flicker, changing textures and motion.
Subtitles kept as a separate track, such as SRT or VTT, can be switched off or deleted in a player or editor instead.

FAQ
Choose a clip in the video text remover and drag a box over the words. Set when each box applies on the timeline; you can add up to three. Keep every box close to the text. Check the cost before processing, then play the full result before you download.
Choosing, playing and marking a clip is free. Each account gets one trial run, for a clip of up to 10 seconds, shared across the server-processed video removal tools, subject to human verification and device, network and site limits. Paid runs use credits; review the estimate before submitting.
Hardcoded subtitles are part of the picture, so you mark their area and the time they are on screen. Subtitles kept as a separate track, such as SRT or VTT, are better switched off or deleted in a player or editor.
The aim is to rebuild the picture behind the words rather than cover them with blur. Small text on a still, plain background is easier. Faces, fine lines and fast motion need a closer check; a perfect result is not guaranteed.
Each box stays in one spot, but it has its own time range. Captions that change place can get one box per place, up to three. Text that keeps moving is harder, because a box does not follow it. The whole clip is processed once, so the cost does not depend on the time ranges.
MP4, MOV and WebM clips up to 50 MiB and 60 seconds. Choosing a file only works if your browser can play it, and that depends on the video codec.
Your video stays on your device during preview. It is uploaded only when you submit a removal task.
You can mark one like other text. Logos and moving watermarks are harder, so check the result closely. The watermark and logo pages are set up for them.
Time depends on the length and detail of the clip. The tool shows the task status while it runs. Wait for the result, then check the full clip before you download.
No install is needed. You mark the clip in your browser; submitting a task uploads it for server-side processing.
If the text is still a layer in your own draft, delete that layer and export again. For words burned into a saved TikTok clip, mark their area here and set when they are on screen. A box does not track captions that move.
Use your original Reel file and mark the on-screen text you want to erase. For captions you can turn off in the app, try that setting first. A username or button shown by the Instagram player is not always part of the video file.
If you have the CapCut project, delete the text layer or any removable ending clip and export again. For a mark burned into footage you may edit, use the watermark tool and box the mark. This is different from deleting a project layer.
No login is required to choose, play and mark a clip in your browser. Sign in when you are ready to process it so the task, trial uses and any credit charge belong to your account.
